What is Optimum Fitness?
Optimum fitness is defined as a condition resulting from a lifestyle that leads to the development of all of the following aspects:
Flexibility
The range of motion possible about the joints of the body.
Cardio-Respiratory Endurance
The ability to perform large muscle movements over a sustained period of time. The capacity of the heart-lung systems to deliver oxygen for sustained energy production.
Muscular Strength
The maximum amount of force a muscle or muscle group can develop during a single contraction.
Muscular Endurance
The capacity of a muscle to exert force repeatedly against a resistance, or to hold a fixed or static contraction over time.
Body Composition
The make-up of the body in terms of the relative percentage of fat-free mass & body fat.
